Texas License to Carry a Handgun (LTC) class (formerly known as CHL) to include Basic Pistol Instruction.
This class is for beginning to intermediate shooters. It consists of six to seven (6-7) hours of class time and one (1-2) hour range time with a Military Veteran that is a Texas DPS and NRA Certified License to Carry a Handgun Instructor.
The class teaches general firearm basics for the beginning shooter or any shooter needing a refresher. You will learn about the various firearm calibers to firing mechanics along with beginning basic and defensive shooting skills, responding to a violent confrontation, and how to choose a handgun for self-defense.
You will learn about the proper safety and use of a firearm, ways to obtain non-violent dispute resolution, proper gun storage, conceal and open carry laws, the new permitless "constitutional" carry laws and more. All classroom materials are provided.
You do not need to own a handgun for this class. You will need a .22 or larger handgun and no laser or modified sights along with 50 rounds of ammunition to qualify for the range portion of the class. If you do not own a handgun you can borrow one from us (or rent from the range). If you would like to borrow a handgun, please let us know by text or email. You will need to bring safety glasses and hearing protection and closed toe shoes. Range costs will be approximately $11.00 to $17.00 which includes the target.

After qualifying you will get the state required LTC-104 Course Completion Certificate along with instructions on how to file to get your License to Carry a Handgun.
